Disassembly Guide: Glocks
The new RYG Self-Cleaning Low Friction Brass Channel Liner has all the features of the original brass channel liner and now has a self-cleaning feature. 4 self cleaning slots remove dirt and debris... ok this is my first post on this forum my name is justin i have been shooting pistols for 16 years now. So the first one I got was the 20 10mm model. I went shooting today and something happened that I've never seen before, I've only put 500 rounds through this gun but have had others with longer ranges with no problems, the ejector came out of the gun on the first round and was obviously blocked. After searching for a while, the search was abandoned. I've never seen this before, should I get in touch? Since it was purchased 16 years ago is it covered under warranty? I have a wonderful gunsmith here, but do I have to pay to fix the gun? Want your input. Will also add some photos.
So from further reading and study I am assuming this part is called an extractor and not an ejector.
What ammo do you use? Sounds like you have some high pressure issues, not sure I've seen one before, the extractor blowing out of the gun.
It would be great if you have the part so we can see what if any damage is done.
Ryg Chrome Extractor W/ Lci 9mm
The next move I would do is move the slide down and check the firing pin safety, then get a new fps/spring/extractor, then check the weapon for proper operation.
The firing pin safety looks great and the plunger on the range looks great too. The spring and plastic piece disappeared with the extractor. Do you know the part numbers? The 2001 Model 20 10mm seems to have a few different guns
Having an extractor should be pretty rare, but I can imagine it happening if some other part wears out. The extractor may malfunction, but that is a very rare occurrence.
Not having the extractor handy, I'd take the approach of swapping out all the parts as a first step. I would like your gunsmith to replace the following parts (part name, part number, list price):

The total cost of these parts to Armisto will be $21 plus shipping, but they can sell for whatever price they like. Replacing those parts takes less than fifteen minutes for a trained armorer, working at a leisurely pace.

Another thing I wanted to point out if your rifleman isn't going to do a lot of work is the installation of the extractor-low plunger (EDP) assembly. As seen in the photo below, the metal end of the EDP contacts the extractor when properly installed. If you see the polymer spring loaded bearing touching the extractor, the EDP is incorrectly installed and should be reversed.

I felt the same way when I saw the intro. But the primer doesn't seem to explode when the film is blown. The striker is deeper than I have seen in other calibers. Was the shell a little long or was the pistol not fully battery?

So update I did some research and put the gun back together and put 150 rounds through it today with no problems. Thanks again guys for the part numbers.
One of the biggest advantages of ownership is not having to use a gunsmith. If you're intellectually challenged to replace any part of an A, the least of your problems is broken. You can send the slide, USPS Priority Mail Insured, and they will repair it under warranty and ship it back to you. You can purchase parts from Lone Wolf distributors and replace the parts yourself. It's a 30 second job if you're slow.
One more vote! I have several s and a sig. Compared to my cig it is very simple and easy to clean and operate. I like it too
